During rapid maintenance cycles oftentimes the as-builts are not properly updated, which in some cases leads to future maintenance packages not being correctly designed or over designed. Their is also a risk to having an incorrect rating of the line or substation. In some cases, while the overhead conductor value is known other equipment limitations could involve the switch, jumpers or even the rigid bus becoming a limiting factor.
With field experience working projects relating to building out new transmission lines and substations, we have a lot of experience as-builting the work. Whether providing a marked up ground grid drawing with installation dates or walking down and peer checking switch labeling and drawings to ensuring bus has weepholes and even into the air to gage DMC bus swages and locations, we are the best choice to put as-builts together. We are set apart by having a team who can naturally catch pads lacking grease, torque marks, birdcaging lock washers and many other items that the inexperienced hand can catch during the as-built process.
In addition, we can identify bus and conductor size up to 75' away using a combination of photogrammetry and/or LIDAR to measure within hundredths of an inch. In addition we will provide gps tagged as-built photographs organized/overlaid onto the dimensional drawings and also have the ability to read small font data plates from a distance with a 125x zoom bridge camera.
